Service 03 — Balconies
Balconies: Aluminium, Inset and Juliet
We design, fabricate and install balconies for main contractors on residential and mixed-use schemes across London and the South East. Since investing in aluminium balconies in 2025, they have become a core part of our work.

What we do
- Aluminium bolt-on balconies on brackets, tie rods or posts
- Inset balconies, with front guarding and balustrades
- Juliet balconies, including stacked Juliets over several floors
- Steel balcony frames and support steelwork
- Glass, vertical bar or perforated balustrades, with matching privacy and wind screens
Fire safety and Gateway 2
We specify materials with fire performance in mind and record each component's classification for the Gateway 2 application.

Frequently asked questions
What is a Juliet balcony?
Guarding fixed across a full-height opening, such as French doors, with no platform to step out onto. It must meet Approved Document K and BS 6180.
What fire rules apply to balconies on residential buildings?
On relevant buildings with a storey 18 m or more above ground, Regulation 7(2) requires balcony materials to be Class A1 or A2-s1,d0, subject to listed exemptions. The design team and fire engineer confirm the requirements for each scheme.
Can balconies be added to an existing building?
Often, yes, subject to planning, structural checks and Building Regulations approval. Bolt-on balconies with their own support are usually the most practical option.
